Youth Hostels in Amsterdam

Amsterdam Youth hostel are the cheapest accommodation. These are basically for the people who are coming here with their partners as there is no privacy and quietness. Youth Hostel is the best alternative for the students who want to stay in Amsterdam at a limited budget. Here one can get a cheap room and might be with a bathroom. Many of the hostels provide the facility of a big room or a Dorm which is shared by many people at a time. In these the bathrooms are available at each floor and there are used in sharing. Internet access, lockers, eating rooms and card games etc. are also common in some of the hostels.

The Flying Pig Palace Hostel –This Hostel is famous for providing the visitors with jolly and relaxed mood. The friendly staff is always ready to help the visitors in whatever they desire. It is located in a quite street next to Vondelpark overlooking the Vondelpark. The Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum are located around the corner. Besides this a lounge at first is also there for relaxation. Tourist attraction that is museums are also situated near by.

Stayokay Hostel Amsterdam Stadsdoelen -Located near a nice canal street in old Amsterdam at Kloveniersburgwal the hostel houses 8 -20 persons in each room. As this area is near to the Nieuwmarkt you can find a number of nice restaurants and clubs nearby. It is situated right in the middle of the Dam Square, flower market, royal palace, and Central station and also at a short distance from Leidseplein.

Hostel Cosmos -It is located at the Nieuwe Nieuwstraat in the city center. Many of the popular coffee shops are near by. It is a small friendly Youth Hostel with pleasant environment and generous hospitality.

Shelter Jordan- It is located in the middle of the Jordan City in the western part of the city center at a short walk from Central Station. Shelter City – It is easier to explore Amsterdam from this location as it is in the historical Nieuwmarkt area. This shelter is close to Central station, Dam square, small China Town and known as an oasis of friendship located in the middle of the red light district. The gates of the shelter are closed at 2 a.m. due to the security purpose. There is a friendly atmosphere of young travelers inside the shelter.

Bulldog Hostel Amsterdam -Located on the quite side of the Amsterdam at Oudezijds Voorburgwal, this luxury hostel has a little higher rate. It is at about 8-9 minutes walking distance from Central Station. The hostel is self-styled, cool and have clean environment. The staff is very careful to provide the relaxed environment to the visitors. A coffee shop is available right downstairs to this hostel. Visitor above the age of 18 can enjoy this atmosphere.

Youth Hostel Meeting point -This is the hostel where travelers from all over the world arrive. So as the name implies one can explore the Amsterdam’s lively atmosphere here. The hostel is situated in the heart of the center of Amsterdam and close to Central Station. Red light area and Public transportation is also nearby. No curfew and dorm facility is available here.

It is better to carry your own towel and sleeping bags as some of the hostels might take charge for that. These hostels remain busy throughout the year especially at weekend and major events. Group reservation could be done online also but beware of the hostels that are not fully legal.
