One of the best-known sopping streets in Amsterdam. Earlier cows were sold here that is why it has got the name Kalverstraat that mean street of calves. There are clothes shops, music stores, toyshops, and jewelry shops in this area along with a few places to eat and relax.


Spiegelkwartier -

This is the place for lovers of antique articles and art. This area is located opposite of the Riksmuseum. This place is a big boost for the business purpose of craftsmen.

This market is situated in the Albert Cuypstraat and is best known market that attracts ones interest very easily. Articles of all kind from clothes to fruit could be found here.


Noorder Market -

It is the best place to buy biological products. With this the market is filled with the stalls of second hand clothes and antiquities. This market lies in front of the Noorderkerk.


Waterlooplein -

Kalverstraat is most famous and busy shopping street. Things of big brand could easily be find here. The area behind the Riksmuseum is best for those who are looking for the objects of best brands. Beautiful little shops could be seen here by the side of small canals. Prices are moderate and low as compared to other European capitals. The shopping streets are extremely crowded on Sundays so one should be aware while roaming.
