This luxury five star hotel is well known for its cosy atmosphere and attentive room service. It is located right in the Dam Square at Dam 9 and offers quality rooms, excellent location and peaceful tone to the visitors. The hotel was established by a Polish tailor named Adolf Wilhelm Krasnapolski and thus given the present name. It was established in the year 1866. The hotel was initiated with a popular café named Polish café and gradually some of the rooms were added for rent. Then the modernization of the hotel took place providing many of the facilities to the visitors. By the end of the 19th century it was the first hotel to provide the facility of warm water and telephones in each room. Thus it got converted into the luxurious Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky from a small café. Today it is one of the biggest hotels in the Netherlands with about 468 rooms, 36 apartments, junior suites and a tower suite. It also provide other facility as fitness room, restaurant, conference hall, convenience store, meeting room(about 10 guests), glass covered courtyard for about 100 guests that can be used as reception and many more.

The hotel owns three restaurants : the Bedouin Shibli (oriental cuisine special), the French Reflet especially offering French oriented cuisine and Japanese Edo and Kyo Winter Garden, facilitating visitors with the best possible cuisine. At winter Garden international breakfast Buffet can be enjoyed. The old fashioned atmosphere, the modern facilities and the homely ambiance grab the attention of the guests at once. Menu of the restaurant changes according to the season. Tea selection and liqueurs with stunning view could be enjoyed in the lounge and the range of juicy cocktail at The Golden Palm Bar.
