My visit to Amsterdam – An experience of lifetime

Few months back, I got a life time opportunity of visiting one of the most beautiful cities on Earth- Amsterdam, the capital city of Netherlands. I stayed in a central location on a canal and could easily walk to museums, resteraunts and shopping. The beauty, the structure, the layout and the liveliness of the city mesmerized me and even as two months pass by, I am still lingering around with the beautiful memories of the place. There is something for everyone in Amsterdam and even as I stayed for as long as fifteen days, I could not get enough of the place. The Artis Zoo, the Royal Palace, the floating flower market, Madame Tassauds, Muiderslot castle, the temples, the museums, the gardens and parks, theatres and concert halls, the fun of biking- everything is just so perfect and just so appealing. I went on excursions around the city on foot, on bikes, on cycles- and yet I feel there was more. Though I am not much into shopping, I enjoyed my time browsing through multi-level department stores to one-of-a-kind boutiques, antiques to contemporary Dutch design- there was just everything in Amsterdam.
