Located in the province of North Holland, Amsterdam is the capital and largest city of the Netherlands. Amsterdam is famous for its vibrant, safe and diverse nightlife. The two main nightlife areas are the Leidseplein and the Rembrandtplein.

With about 140 festivals around the year, there is no dearth of celebrations in Amsterdam. Famous festivals in Amsterdam include Koninginnedag (Queen’s Day), Amsterdam Gay Pride and the Uitmarkt.
